Christian rapper Shai Linne has a tough-to-swallow message for some of America’s most well-known preachers — and he’s packaged it into a viral song that has captured the attention of believers across America. Entitled, “Fal$e Teacher$,” the tune is sure to draw the ire of the pastors it targets — as well as their congregants and followers.
From Joel Osteen to TD Jakes, Shai Linne is anything but careful about naming names, as he explicitly outlines each individual he believes is misrepresenting the Bible’s central message. In sum, he calls out 12 popular faith leaders, dubbing each a “false teacher.”
Below, see a portion of his lyrics from the song, which tackles each pastor’s name:
Talk to them)

(Keep going)
Fred Price is a false teacher!
(Tell the Truth)
Kenneth Copland is a false teacher!
(Who else? Who else?)
Robert Tilton is a false teacher!
I know they’re popular but don’t let them deceive ya!
(Talk to them)
Eddie Long is a false teacher!
(Let them know)
Juanita Bynum is a false teacher!
(Who else? Who else?)
Paul Crouch is a false teacher!
Use your discernment, let the Bible lead ya!
Throughout the song, the rapper documents why these individuals are not, in his view, sticking to Biblical principles. At the center of Shai Linne’s contention is “prosperity gospel” and an opinion that the aforementioned individuals embrace anti-Biblical worldviews.
In the song, the performer warns that these pastors are falsely teaching that “camels squeeze through the eye of a needle.” Here’s a sample: “How dare they be specific and drop some clarity on the popularity of the gospel of Prosperity,” Turn off TBN that channel is overrated. The Pastor’s speak bogus statements, financially motivated. It’s kind of like a pyramid scheme. Visualize Heretics christianizing the American dream.”
And that’s not the harshest of the lyrics. Shai Linn also dubs these preachers’ antics as “foul and deceitful and claims that they are “treating Jesus like a lottery ticket.”
We’ll let you explore the rest of the song on your own. Listen to it, below:
The rapper’s new album, “Lyrical Theology Part 1,” came out on April 9. ”Fal$e Teacher$” is the first single to come from it. What do you think about the song — is it fair? Let us know in the comments section.
