Why aren’t we protesting The Occupation the way we protested Apartheid in South Africa? I remember back in the 1900s when I was in college and protested, had Desmond Tutu come to campus, Jesse Jackson, Kwame Ture …we were up in arms about Apartheid and we celebrated when Nelson Mandela walked out of prison and Apartheid came tumbling down. As I engage this issue, The Occupation, and exam President Carter’s call for “Peace not Apartheid” I have to ask why aren’t we talking about this issue? Could it be we haven’t seen it? Could it be that the mainstream media hasn’t reported it? Could it be we can’t see it because we have been “blinded by the light”? I don’t know but I ask you to follow me as I go and see and intend to show you what we see. Let’s talk about it. Share with your family and friends. Let’s talk when I return. How can we stand on the side of God’s justice when it comes to the very land we call The Holy Land?
